Helping seniors live independently in their own homes and remain connected to their community.

Better at Home is program that helps seniors with non-medical, day-to-day tasks so that they can continue to live independently in their own homes, and remain connected to their communities. The Government of British Columbia funds the program, United Way of the Lower Mainland manages it, and local non-profit organizations provide the services.

Services available in Kerrisdale, Oakridge, Marpole, Southlands, and Dunbar

  • Light Housekeeping
  • Transportation to medical appointments
  • Grocery shopping assistance
  • Friendly visiting

Eligibility

Services are available to all seniors 65+ living in Kerrisdale, Oakridge, Marpole, Southlands, and Dunbar (Ontario St. – Blanca St., W25 Ave. – SW Marine Dr.)

Cost

Priced on a sliding scale according to the individual’s income level.  For more information and fees, please see below:
