Last season we focused on grains of the world with fall rye, buckwheat, quinoa, amaranth and Red Fyfe wheat. We have four of the seven native species of Israel including figs, wheat, grapes and barley. We grew Europe’s garden, along with Africa, Asia and North America . Our harvest is given to the local community food bank, as well as other local food programs. Get involved There are many interactive opportunities for involvement. Our projects success is a reflection of the community support we receive from funders, partners and the community. We believe that the sustainable partnerships we have built and the shared values we work from are the cornerstone to our garden and the community it has built.

is a multicultural Seed to Table project. It is a place where youth and community come together to learn about the culture, nutrition and production of organic food. Our garden invites and attracts a wide range of people from diverse cultures and backgrounds, including: community gardeners, JFSA clients, staff, youth from local schools and youth programs, corporate volunteers, interns, community volunteers and neighborhood families.
Our garden is open to both Jewish and non- Jewish community members. We promote cross–cultural understanding, leadership building and social and environmental responsibility.
The World in the Garden is a project theme whereby individual plots represent different regions of the world with their respective native crops. The project celebrates various harvest festivals from around the world, and focuses on both Jewish and non-Jewish traditions and celebrations.
